BOYZ is notorious for the music on the forum. As you may already see we only play Male R&B/Hip Hop/Pop on here
But I bet your wondering how to put music on YOUR proboards. I'm about to tell you...
After that go check the page where the music is and wait for the music to load and viola you have music on your forum!
*It is recommended that you DONT use .mp3 files as background music due to the long download time it takes as well as conflict with some browsers.
** You'd have to have a sound file converter for it to become a .txt (text) file.
But I bet your wondering how to put music on YOUR proboards. I'm about to tell you...
- First consider the type of forum you have. It makes no sense to have a RPG or Futuristic forum and play Hip Hop on it. Like BOYZ is a fan forum for multiple male artists, we only play music from male artists. So if you have a general news forum, I'd say look more into who your audience is before adding music.
- Once you've figured out what music you'r adding to your ProBoards, you'll have to find Music Codes for your forum. These are already hosted music that is already formated into code for you to copy and paste into the headers or footers of the main page or global (all pages) headers/footers of your forum. Which then means, you don't have to go through the hassel of downloading and hosting your own music. But if you have to because no one has the song or sound that you want then this is what you'll have to do...
- Download the song to your My Music Playlist on your Windows Media Player on your computer.
- Then when its downloaded, you can upload the song to a server that will host your music. (If you are just starting out, I recommend a free host like FileLodge.com or Freewebs.com to host your music)
- Once you've uploaded the music, your song will now have a file URL, with that File URL you need to place it in the BACKGROUND MUSIC CODE, you have two to choose from
<bgsound src="http://URL OF MUSIC.wma/.swf/.mp3*/.txt**/ETC." loop="-1">
With out Real Player<embed src="url of song" width="40" height="20" type="audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin" hidden="false" loop="-1" autostart="true" controls="playbutton"></embed>
With Real Player Controls
