1. 50 brings mayhem to NY and professionalism to movie set. Word is Fiddy is routinely causing chaos since moving the filming of Get Rich or Die Trying from Toronto, Canada to New York City. According to a SOHH.com insider, the Queens rapper throws $50 bills in the air everyday at the end of shooting. "The crowd breaks the police barricades and go wild and the cops can't stop him," the source revealed to SOHH.com. This past Tuesday, 50 caused another stir after going through a Dunkin Donuts' drive-in. The surprised cashiers screamed as they stuck out the drive-in window and hysterical fans toppled tables and trashed the store. Despite the pandemonium 50 has caused since returning to the Big Apple, his days on-set have been drama-free. The G-Unit has reportedly proved to be professional and reliable throughout Get Rich's filming. The flick is presently on location at 207th and Sherman Ave. in Inwood, Manhattan. "[50 is] very professional—comes on time, never blunted. He's so on time that once the movie set wasn't ready for him," the anonymous source told SOHH.com. "The set has twenty police officers a day on site; there's usually only 1 to 2 cops on a movie set." The source also tells us, "50 has a full blown state-of-the-art studio trailer where he chills and makes music."
2. Bryant brings 50 joy. Apparently, 50 Cent and his Get Rich co-star, Joy Bryant, have been practicing their love scenes off set. An informant told New York's Daily News, "Joy has a history of hooking up with her leading men." After publicly dating actress Vivica A. Fox back in 2003, sources say Fiddy is opting to keep his relationship with Bryant quiet. "They avoid each other on the set, but there is a lot of sneaking into each other's hotel rooms," the informant revealed. Insiders say a former male model also featured in the movie is competing with 50 for Joy's attention. The Queens rapper apparently has no clue of Joy's secret admirer. Meanwhile, Bryant's rep didn't deny or confirm the rumor. "I have no idea and I don't really comment on her personal life," the rep told Daily News.
3. Kanye and Yayo pushed back, again. Two of the summer's most anticipated albums have reportedly been pushed back for the second time. With "So Seductive" slowly fading, Yayo's Thoughts of a Predicate Felon has been postponed indefinitely. The LP was initially slated to hit stores on June 28th before being pushed to a July 12th release. The album is now expected to drop in late August or early September. As far as Kanye, Late Registration has now been pushed back to a late August date. After being delayed to an August 16th date, the record will now be released on August 30th.
4. Superhead gets the "Star" treament. On Wednesday, famed groupie Superhead, aka Karrine Steffans, visited The Star and Buc Wild morning show on NYC's Power 105.1. Steffans was on hand to promote her new book, Confessions of a Video Vixen. The book chronicles the former video model's life and recounts sexual encounters she allegedly had with everybody from Shaquille O'Neil, to DMX to Jay-Z. When Star asked about specific details in the book, Steffans got defensive and the interview quickly tensed up. Star charged that Steffans was "pimping the 'hood;" while his sidekick, Crossover Negro Reese continually questioned her motives for writing the book. At one point, the interview got heated with both parties cutting each other off and Superhead nearly cursing at the two hosts. She was asked to leave the show moments later.
5. Posh sp!ce disses Snoop Dogg. Victoria Beckham, aka Posh sp!ce, apparently doesn't think Snoop Dogg is so charming. The Doggfather reportedly met Posh's husband, soccer player David Beckham, backstage at London's recent Live 8 concert. The lanky rapper then invited Beckham to hang out, but was instantly met with strong disapproval from Posh. "Look Mr. Snoopy," Posh warned, "You're not taking my husband out. I know all about your reputation." Posh later told the London Sun, "As if I'd let David go out with him! I don't think he liked me calling him Mr. Snoopy, he didn't find it very funny." Word is Snoop and P. Diddy are Beckham's favorite rappers. The star didn't go out, but gave Snoop a jersey of his team, the Real Madrid.
6. Live 8 stunts with P. Diddy and Timberlake. Live 8 might have been a who's who of A-list music performers, but two superstars were apparently missing from their Philadelphia concert. Despite publicity claiming that Puff and Timberlake would be taking the stage, the two were noticeably M.I.A. from the Philly roster. A Timberlake rep told New York's Daily News, "His name was being bandied about, but he never agreed to anything. He was in the One ad campaign [to fight African poverty], and that was it." Meanwhile, a Diddy associate said, "Puffy expressed interest in the event, but they never got back to him about it." Live 8 organizers didn't return calls.
